Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary grants $1,000 to First Tee of Delaware

December 15, 2019

The Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary Club recently granted $1,000 to First Tee of Delaware, an organization dedicated to impacting the lives of children by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices.

First Tee of Delaware programs are now found in all of Sussex County’s elementary schools and many others around the state.

Honor, tradition, and respect are all unique values in golf, a game where players not only keep their own scores, but routinely call penalties on themselves.

Rotary's mission is to make the greater Lewes community a better place to live, work, go to school and raise a family through both service and fundraising projects. The club meets at 5:45 p.m. every Monday for dinner at the Children’s Beach House on Bay Avenue in Lewes. Community-spirited individuals are invited to attend.
